Missed Her Again?

So now's there a rumor on the Guitartown mailing list that Mary Chapin Carpenter has hurt her back and that the love of my life Tift Merritt is taking her place!!! Dammit dammit dammit to hell. I've missed the last two Tift shows here in town, and now I'm missing her at a large venue with other amazing stars. DAMMIT!
I'm sorry to hear that Mary Chapin Carpenter is not feeling well. Best wishes to her! And, I wish Tift the best of luck in this new gig, although I won't be able to be there to cheer her on... dammit....
I wonder if this means she'll cancel her Knoxville appearance, too, and who would take her place here. Hmm.

Dunno, I still haven't seen any confirmation of this anywhere but the Guitartown mailing list. I could see Tift staying on for the whole tour, though, because she's becoming quite a big name and supposedly doesn't have any more gigs during the time of the Landmine tour.
If they're only getting extra local artists though, I wonder who'd they get in Knoxville? Robinella? Then I'd really be pissed! I went to high school with her and I've never seen her play live...
