Working for the Weekend
Posted by Larry Karnowski at November 16, 2002 11:33 AMYep, working this weekend... no fun. However, I'm listening to my two The White Stripes albums, White Blood Cells and De Stijl to cheer me up. Very good CDs. The more I listen to them the more I like them. Very minimal roots rock/hard rock mix. They use very simple chords, vocal styles, and percussion, but their range is incredible for only having two musicians. That's right -- Jack White plays acoustic/electric guitars and sings, sometimes plays piano, and Meg White plays drums and sings. That's it.
