Hello Darkness, My Old Friend

Well, the lights were out. Only here, it was for only a little while. By now you've heard all about the Carolina power outages from last week's ice storm. Evidently, over a million people were without power, more people, and more damage, then even Hurricane Fran from several years ago.

I was fine. My power kicked off early Thursday morning, at 6:04 am. That was about five hours after everyone else's was already off. My power came back on, however, at 11:30 am, only 5 and a half hours later. I was very, very lucky. I have friends here who only got their power back last night. That's a whole week without power. Believe me, I was very lucky!

So why all these sounds of silence on the website? It obviously wasn't from the power outages... it was because I was moving the site. I moved it to a new ISP, and it takes a while for the DNS entries to move. For the most part, it was moved over in a couple of days, but some places on the Internet (including my cable modem provider, who I have a love/hate relationship with) still point to the old site. Oh well....

But I can't wait anymore! It's time to catch up! I'm officially re-opening my site for business.
