Merlefest Mailing List

I've created a Yahoo mailing list, hickorywind-events, to discuss concert trips and plans, but particularly the upcoming Merlefest in April. If you're interested in going, please subscribe to the list. I will not be discussing any plans (when I'll be there, where I'll be, who'll be there too, etc) here on Hickorywind.org. Please respect that when posting comments (this is a public website, after all).

Also note hickorywind-events is a private mailing list, and if I do not know your email address, I will not allow you to join. If I know you, but maybe not your email address, please send me an email directly letting me know you want to be added.

I'm sorry for this sort of "exclusive" attitude. I'm torn between two ideas -- one, encouraging all my friends to join me on a fun trip, and two, protecting my and my friends' privacy. I love the idea of a public website -- this blog, but I also worry about letting too much personal information free, especially where I live, where I work, where I'll be at a certain time or date, etc. I hope you understand.

As for my friends -- JOIN! Even if you're not particularly interested in going to Merlefest (which of course you should be!), maybe we'll plan some other trip you will be interested in!
