Lyle, Francine, and Me
Posted by Larry Karnowski at July 28, 2003 8:53 PMOkay, I didn't want to brag before because I wasn't certain of exactly where my tickets were going to be for the Lyle show Saturday night at the Regency Park Amphitheatre. However, let the bragging begin.
I HAD FRONT ROW TICKETS, JUST RIGHT OF CENTER. I was so close I could see Victor Krauss making eyes at me all night. Whoa! Back off man! Your sister may be the love of my life, but I just don't swing that way. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
What an amazing concert! Lyle put on a great show as usual, just one long set, and being right in front was amazing! I love the Regency Park. I just can't believe that such a wonderful outdoor amphitheatre is only five minutes from my apartment.
Lyle was looking better, but still limping just a bit when he ran on/off stage. Francine was looking good -- she's lost a lot of weight and looks younger. Her voice, though, continues to improve every time I hear her!
After the show, we ended up down at the Bermuda Room for "dinner." That place has great bar food! Then Ben and I sat up all night sipping White Russians and smoking cigars on my front porch. I ended up with only three hours of sleep before getting back to HazMat class at 8am. Damn, eight hours of HazMat after only three hours of sleep! Anyway, it was worth it. That was a great night!
