Lost Highway Radio Show

You may already know that Lost Highway Records is one of my all-time favorite record companies. They are home to Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Ryan Adams, Tift Merritt, the O Brother Where Art Thou? and Down From the Mountain soundtracks, Lucinda Williams, Whiskeytown, the Jayhawks, Robert Earl Keen, and now, Lyle Lovett. In short, they are all about what country music should be about.

Now they're taking it to the real battlefield -- radio programming. They've just announced a new syndicated radio show that should be starting soon. The first episode will be 90 minutes of a Lucinda Williams concert hosted by "Mr. Good Voice" himself -- Bono of U2! Woohoo!

Now the bad news. Even though Lost Highway is incredibly cool, they have fallen into the common mistake that most record companies and music artists make when creating a website -- a completely unusable, unlinkable, impossible-to-find-what-you're-looking-for (wasn't that a U2 song?), Flash animation up the wazoo, crappy web layout. Geez!

So even though we know they're having a radio show, we have no way (yet, anyway!) to figure out WHEN that show is airing or on what radio stations. Sheesh!!!

So my Cowboy Angels, keep your eyes and ears open and please let me know if you hear anything! I'll be watching and waiting, and I'll let you know if I hear anything.

(On a semi-related note -- some good news: Whilst I was trying to figure out their site, I did discover that Ryan Adams has finished his newest CD, and it should be released this November!)
