I'm So Dizzy My Head Is Spinning

Whew. These past few days have been very whiz-bang full of stuff!

First off, I've been having bouts of vertigo since Thursday. Something seems screwy with my inner ear and early in the morning and late at night especially I can get the illusion of the room spinning if I turn my head a certain way. Of course, I'm not always sure what that certain way is, as it tends to change, so this keeps me on my toes! Actually, my sense of balance is a little screwy through the day, making my inner ear work even harder, and making me look even clumsier than usual. This makes "keeping me on my toes" that much harder.

This is all okay with me, though -- as long as it doesn't keep me from my camping/white water rafting trip this weekend. (Which it freakin' WON'T.) I went to the doctors office yesterday morning to get checked out, and he gave me a prescription for Anitvert just in case. We're thinking this is either a very weak cold that's just affecting my inner ear a little, or maybe one of the tiny microscopic crystals in my inner ear broke loose (no biggie) and is now a dodge ball bouncing around knocking down my balance sensors. Until they all get together and put the smack down on that little crystal booger, I'll have these crazy spells. None have been bad enough to make me stop driving, and believe me, if they do get worse, I will stay home. (I had a case of vertigo in college that laid me up for a couple of days. You can't do anything if it gets bad.)

Add to that little medical situation an entire weekend full of HazMat training and tests, attempts to pack up my apartment, gettting in touch with everyone and their brother, planning and shopping for this camping trip, crazy rainstorms and flooding, and .... Whew! Crazy whiz-bang bonanza!

"Crazy whiz-bang bonanza!"

Hey, that would make a great name for a band!
