Isabel Update

Stayed at the firestation last night, but we didn't get any calls. They're all going to be today! My company is letting us out today at noon, but I think I may skip out a little early. The worst of the storm is supposed to hit Raleigh around 1pm - 4pm, so I'll be up at the station running calls. We're told to expect A LOT, mostly auto accidents and fallen trees.

In the meantime, please do this for me: 1) DON'T drive into water. I don't care that it only looks six inches deep, don't do it! 2) If you see flooding anywhere, stay OUT of the water. You don't know what could be in the water chemical-wise, and you never know when water will suddenly rise or become fast moving. And lastly, but probably most importantly, 3) DON'T even look at a fallen power line! Just don't do it! Don't drive over it, don't touch it, don't get near it. And watch for trees my friends. Watch for those trees!

Stay home y'all, get drunk, and listen to some good music. You'll be fine, and I'll be in touch.
