Beware of Stacy

Posted by Larry Karnowski at September 29, 2003 11:27 AM

All of you folks who're gonna see Lucinda Williams and the Jayhawks in DC tonight, don't talk too much or beware of Stacy's wrath (of Nuggets of Gold fame):

"At the last Jayhawks show we had frat boys behind us who needed to prove to us and everyone that they knew all the words -- by singing them loudly. And to our left was a group of middle-aged men who were checking in with the wife 'n' kids by cell phone every five minutes. So hopefully no talky-talks tonight, and woe upon them if they do show up because I'm feelin' a little beligerent today, not above knocking a frat boy's backwards ballcap off his head and making him eat it."

Been there, felt that, Stacy! Err, You Go Girl! (ahem)

Feeling so beLLigerent today that I can't even spell. :) That makes me REALLY want to put da hurt on someone...

You guys should feel free to start up a collection to spring me out of jail after I unleash my 115 pounds of fury on some hapless concert-yapper. Or with all the musicians reading, maybe record a benefit CD. Yeah, that'd be cool!

Stacy, I don't have any problem throwing in for your bail money, IF we get to see a video of you laying the smack down on some frat-boy gabbin' ass. Maybe Geoffrey can take a camcorder?

Fortunately, (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) Stacy didnt have to become the tornado of pain that she can become when concert yappy-yaps do what they do so well. This is probably a good thing though, since I havent figured out how to used the digital camcorder feature yet on the camera. The concert was amazing though. Even if Gary Louris was looking expecially Carrot-Topish that night.

Cool Geoffrey! I'm glad y'all had a good time. I blew the concert off here in Raleigh cause of where they were playing -- the "Disco Rodeo" (used to be the Ritz). The WORST sound of any venue in the Triangle, and I heard it was the worst they'd ever been that night. Glad I missed it. I'd a been pissed.
