Why (I Guess) My MT Weblog Must Die?
Posted by Larry Karnowski at February 4, 2004 4:33 PMHehe, this guy seems a little bit worked up about MovableType blogs. Hmmm.... oh well.
I can see his point on the fact that we (bloggers) mostly go over the same few topics over and over. (This guy's article will certainly make the rounds.) Okay, so most of us don't come up with anything really new or revolutionary, but who cares? The whole point here is that we're having fun. At least we're not at home watching TV. Writing, in any format, promotes literacy and sense of self. These are things that all people (and I'll hazard to say especially Americans) need.
Whatever. This red red robin will just keep on blog-blog-bloggin' along. ;-)
(Thanks for the link Tanner. I noticed he doesn't feel the same way about your LIveJournal blog. Hah!)
Even better, he wrote up his article on what is essentially a community blog, *and* he "blogs" on the journals on K5. A trackback is no different than any other link.
Not only that, but it makes blogs more like what they are, a conversation. When you get a trackback, the commentary goes two ways then.

Posted by: larry at February 4, 2004 7:24 PMWow. That guy has some serious anger issues.
And a lot of spare time.
Plus ... he's a lame-oh.
