Dead Man's Party Mix (Feb Mix 1, Not So Twangy)
Posted by Larry Karnowski at February 14, 2004 1:16 PMSo I was working on a HUGE playlist during the last part of January and the beginning of February, but it was way too big to fit on a single CD. So I decided I'd have to split it up. This one is the non-twang mix, mostly some Indie rock stuff I bought off of iTunes mixed in with some nostalgic Boingo and other oddities.
1) Dead Man's Party - Oingo Boingo
2) Weird Science - Oingo Boingo
3) Little Girls - Oingo Boingo
4) Private Life - Oingo Boingo
5) Stacy's Mom - Fountains of Wayne (I know... cheezy, but funny. Bear in mind that I don't listen to commercial radio, so I don't get the whole over-played syndrome.)
6) Living Room - Tegan and Sara
7) Sunrise - Norah Jones
8) Just Pretend - The Bens (gotta love Ben Folds!)
9) Bruised - The Bens
10) Something Bigger, Something Brighter - Pretty Girls Make Graves
11) The Grandmother Wolf - Pretty Girls Make Graves
12) A Certain Cemetary - Pretty Girls Make Graves (I tell you what, not only do PGMG have an odd name, they make some pretty odd song names too. Pretty rockin' though.)
13) The Goonies 'R Good Enough - Cyndi Lauper (God bless the iTMS!)
14) Oh What A World - Rufus Wainwright
15) I Don't Know What It Is - Rufus Wainwright
16) Go Or Go Ahead - Rufus Wainwright (I must be the only straight guy in all of NC that listens to Rufus. He's a bit different, but he's a freakin' genius.)
17) Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (You know this one. This is the background music from all those nifty eToys commercials. I didn't know what it was until my good friend Lee told me. Thanks Lee! Thanks iTMS!)
