Save It For A Rainy Day

Posted by Larry Karnowski at March 18, 2004 10:32 AM

By the Jayhawks

Pretty little hairdo don't do what it used to
Can't disguise the living
All the miles that you've been through

Lookin' like a train wreck
Wearin' too much makeup
Burden that you carry
More than one soul could ever bear

Don't look so sad, Marina
There's another part to play
Don't look so sad, Marina
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day

You never make your mind up
Like drivin' with your eyes shut
Rough around the edges
Won't someone come and take you home

Waitin' for a breakthrough
What will you set your mind to?
We stood outside the Chinese restaurant
In the rain

Don't look so sad, Marina
There's another part to play
Don't look so sad, Marina
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day
Save it for a rainy day

source of the lyrics

Here's a little kinda-sunny, kinda-rainy song for a day like today, which is kinda like that.

Love this song. First time I heard it was in the car and it was one of those "Don't leave the car until it's over" kind of songs.
