Penny Arcade
Posted by Larry Karnowski at July 13, 2004 9:36 AMWell, I finally finished reading all of the Penny Arcade comics last night. They're so damn funny.... very crude at times, a tad on the violent side, but very irreverant and funny, and very reminiscent of my friends. I'm like the character Gabriel -- very excitable and over-enthusiastic, sometimes with um, violent outbursts -- except about music instead of video games. (Okay, who hasn't wanted to throttle a music store clerk or especially a Best Buy blueshirt a few times in their life?)
Anyway, here's the list of some of my favorites:
Naughty Girl - This is why geek boys LOVE geek girls.
French Coffee - Why Mac users are just better.
Date With Samus - If you've never played Metroid, this won't be funny, but if you HAVE.... hilarious.
Soul Erosion - Some people play tennis...
Harry Potter - Okay, this is SO me and Evil Jason. He's the Stars Wars nerd, and I'm the guilty Harry Potter geek.
Linux on XBox - "They know our weakness!"
Guys' Night Out - I've been here before, definitely.
iTunes - The main characters usually hate this Mac guy, but iTunes conquers all!
Apple Store - Yeah, I've had to leave some friends outside, too.
And last but definitely not least:
Fruit F-er 2000 - The funniest, yet most disturbing comic of all time.
You nailed most of my favorites too. Penny Arcade is great and yes, a little disturbing. I will try and find some of the other really good comics they did and post them sometime...
That had to have taken awhile to read all of Penny Arcade :) Need something to do, Larry?

Posted by: jbroome at July 13, 2004 8:04 PMHey, yeah, that's a good one.
Posted by: larry at July 13, 2004 9:25 PMI didn't spell it out cause I didn't want weirdo's Googling into my site. You should see some of the disgusting search queries my site already gets as innocent as it is!
Some of my friends (specifically Sarah at Diary of a Geek and Justin over at Elephant Rants) have gotten even worse than me.
Oh well, no biggie, just icky!
Posted by: larry at July 14, 2004 9:41 AMHa! didn't even think of that. But you have at least one weirdo surfing into your site, and he even posts some messages from time to time...
