They don't have an MP3 player in the market, so they have to just yell and scream and pout... throwing their little hissy fit by calling iPod owners names. How juvenile. Let's stir up a little FUD ("fear, uncertainty, and doubt") why don't we?

If I've said it once, I'll say it a million times. "Buy a Mac." Abandon Windows. Ignore Microsoft. Break the cycle (at least for now).
(Maybe in ten years I'll be saying something nasty about Steve Jobs.... stranger things have happened. Um, like me being a Mac advocate? Yeah, that's huge. I used to hate Apples. Of course, they used to really suck. Really bad. Really. But now they rock!)
If they (macs/apple) were not so damn expensive I would have one. If they want to get anywhere in the marketplace they need to lower there prices by about $400 or so.

Their excuse, and I've heard this from several Mac users (including my roommate) is that you're paying for the extra quality. And I have to say, you DO get what you pay for.

Yeah, yeah, I should be the one of the other side of the fence after three logic board (i.e. mother board) replacements in my first generation iBook but that problem has been fixed, at least from what I understand. Kelly needed a new laptop and I didn't even consider anything other then a mac. I would have liked to have purchased another Powerbook but I couldn't afford one so a 14 inch iBook it was.
Macs rock. No two ways about it. Like you, Larry, I used to hate Macs, Appletalk, and pretty much everything about them. OS X changed that. Hopefully the change will last.
