The Clydes Ride Again
Posted by Larry Karnowski at February 21, 2005 8:45 PMAll, I know I've been very bad about posting lately... as your many disparaging comments and emails have been sure to show me! ;-) I have LOTS to tell you, but you know how it is. The more things I have to write about, the less time I have to post them!
Anyway, I've finally broken my silence to tell you that my band, the Right Turn Clydes, are playing another open mic night tomorrow at the Six String Cafe!
We've got three new songs, practiced a lot more with the microphones, and will be damn sure to be in 100% tune tomorrow, so expect a much better performance! ;-) I'll post MP3s again once I get them! Stay tuned, true believers!
Larry, you might have to post actual visual evidence of you singing- when we listened to that last batch of songs you put up, I don't think Kip ever quite believed it was you singing. I think I'd take that as a compliment though.
Posted by: valerie at February 21, 2005 9:21 PMI'm not sure I have taken the time yet to tell you I think Right Turn Clydes is a totally bitchin' band name. But it must be said.
Posted by: Stacy at February 22, 2005 7:51 AMAlso, when are the Right Turn Clydes touring Japan, hmmm?
Posted by: Stacy at February 22, 2005 7:52 AMWell, as you are well aware... we're already HUGE in Japan... so any day now actually.
And yes, it is me singing. ;-) My singing voice is a lot more... well, COUNTRY, then my talking voice, I guess. ;-)
And the "Right Turn Clydes" is a James Goodfellow and Shane O'Donnell brainchild (mandolin and banjo, respectively). ;-) I'll pass along your compliments.
I wish all my Japanese peeps could come out and drink beer with us! And my TN peeps too! (And my VA peeps, etc etc)
