Best of 2004, #23: Vertigo by U2

iPod commercial or not, this song rocks! And I even liked the iPod commercial! I thought it made a better video than the one they actually released.

(Disclaimer: I detest music videos. and I am more than a little partial to my iPod which I've recently had surgically grafted onto my arm.)

Again, this seems to have been a great song on an otherwise mediocre album. Oh well, they can't all be Everything You Can't Leave Behind and Joshua Tree now can they? I'm just glad they decided to turn it up to eleven on this and straight out RAWK! That's 20-plus years of ass-kicking experience, I think. I would love to see this song performed live.
