Merlefest 2005: Photos (late!)
Posted by Larry Karnowski at July 6, 2005 10:15 AMMy sister-in-law, Leslie Karnowski, who's a terrific photographer, finally got her Merlefest 2005 photos up on the web. I'd skip the first fifteen or so since I ruined them. (They're of me with Pete Wernick's Jam Campers up on the Cabin Stage.) After those, though, you've got some professional grade close-up photos! They look great, Leslie! (She's our new official unofficial HickoryWind.org photographer, I think.)
Here's some of my favorites: Loretta, Doc, Earl, the Avett Bros (God Leslie, you liked their backsides, eh?), and Jerry Douglas' fiddler, Gabe Witcher.
I'd say Leslie could be an official photographer for many, many organizations. These photos are fantastic.

These photos -- all of 'em -- ARE astounding! Go Leslie! I'm gonna vote for the Gabe Witcher one as my favorite, and I'm also gonna vote for Leslie as official HW.org photog. Huzzah!

I think I'll have to order a couple, especially that Gabe Witcher photo. I'm a big fan of his, being a fiddler myself, and you can't get photos/posters of him anywhere else. Thanks Leslie!
