New releases: April 4, 2006

Yeah, yeah, so I blew you guys off Friday, failing to post the new releases list on the usual day. Well, you know what? I blew you off so I could see Son Volt in Tokyo. And I'm not sorry about it. AT ALL. It's harsh, I know. But check back here Monday for my full review of the show and you'll understand.

'Til then, there are plenty of CDs coming out this week to occupy your mind (and drain the ol' bank account). We gots:

Shooter Jennings -- Electric Rodeo (Universal South)
Bruce Robison -- Eleven Stories (Sustain)
Josh Ritter -- The Animal Years (V2)
But only if you're in Canada. If you're in the U.K., Ireland or Europe, this is already on your store shelves. If you're in America, apparently Josh Ritter hates you and is making you wait 'til April 11 to get your mitts on this album. But he does throw the Yanks a bone by having the CD available to listen to via the Internet here. Thanks for that, Josh Ritter. Kind of.
Darol Anger's Republic of Strings -- Generation Nation (Compass)
The Shitkickers -- Noon's Moonlight (Big Bender)
Radney Foster -- This World We Live In (Dualtone)
Ani Difranco -- Carnegie Hall 4.6.02 [Live] (Righteous Babe)
The Vines -- Vision Valley (Capitol)
