Back from Bonnaroo

Posted by Larry Karnowski at June 19, 2006 10:34 PM

All, well, I'm finally back from Bonnaroo tonight. It was a fun trip, and I'll tell y'all about it as soon as I can. Here's a brief run-down:

1) I had a pretty damn good time.
2) No, it was nowhere near as good as any Merlefest I've ever been to.
3) I'm doubtful I'm going to go back any time soon.
4) But like I said, I had a pretty good time.

More later, but in the meantime, here are some photos from the festival. Enjoy, and come back later for more updates, ya hear?

Agree with Larry 100%...great time, but just wasn't my favorite lineup. I made the mistake of thinking I would "run into" Larry...it's hard to imagine 80,000 people. I've been to a UT football game, but everyone has assigned seating and they don't "live" there for three days. Craziest thing I saw, a guy fall 30 feet out of a tree at 9:00 Friday morning. Can't find any news about it, so I'm assuming he lived and is doing OK. When did I go from being a cool guy to an aging hipster? Big dose of reality being the oldest guy within eye shot of my campsite...ick.

Yeah, I realized I *way* squarer than I had originally thought. It must happen around age 30. (Well, actually for me I think my squareness hit around age 10.)

"run down" is maybe not the best term to use, considering ...
