I'm Pissed Off - Solas Show Cancelled

So the Solas show that I was going to tonight at the Carrboro Arts Center in Carrboro (Chapel Hill) was cancelled. We got to the front door and saw a little sign taped to the door. "The band was snowed in at the Detroit airport."

Freakin' snow! Freakin' airline system! How am I going to get my Celtic fix now? Solas is one of my all-time favorite bands, my favorite Celtic band, and I've never seen them live! GRRR!

Oh well... hopefully they'll reschedule. Also, I'm going to go see Dervish at the end of March. That makes me feel a little better. (Man, you can tell a real Irish band when they've got an .ie instead of a .com web address!) Also, Solas is playing at the Shakori Hills festival here in April too. Sigh.

(I bought these tickets over Thanksgiving weekend last year, and I've been looking forward to this show for months now... I'm quite disappointed.)
