Springsteen's "Segar Sessions"
Posted by Hal Bogerd at April 1, 2007 8:41 AMBruce Springsteen is apparently in his home studio working on yet another "Segar Sessions" disc! This one is rumored to be Springsteen's solo versions of songs derived from and/or inspired by E.C. Segar's famous comic characters including Popeye, Wimpy, Swee'Pea, Bluto,The Sea Hag and Alice The Goon! Proceeds of the disc will reportedly be used to fund the building of a children's play zone at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. A deluxe limited edition set will also be released which will include a DVD of rare cartoons, interviews and two previously unreleased tracks with the full E-Street Band!
Enjoy!

Hurrah! More children's music!
Posted by: Steve Collins at April 1, 2007 2:28 PMGreat, another highly over-rated Springsteen album is going to be released. I just don't get the fascination with Bruce. Sure, his music's okay but he's so far from the songwriting god his fans make him out to be. I mean common, a SEGAR tribute?
Posted by: Matt at April 1, 2007 2:43 PMI get it. It's an April Fools Joke. Right?
Posted by: Sid at April 1, 2007 6:54 PMI love Springsteen, and I loved the Seeger sessions, but this kind of sounds lame...
Posted by: JD at April 1, 2007 7:02 PMOkay, this might possibly be the funniest post I've ever seen on this blog... ;-)
