DELETE
Posted by Hal Bogerd at July 8, 2007 11:18 PMThe recent posts on ratings inspired me to flip through iTUNES and identify some stuff I never liked, never listened to and will never listen to. Elizabeth Cook? It takes balls to delete her disc. DELETE. I give the Shins credit, "Wincing The Night Away" was a perfectly titled album. DELETE. I love Bob Mould but do I really need Bob channeling Cher through his vocoder on "Body of Soul" DELETE.
That was cathartic. I feel better already.
Aww, man, you deleted Elizabeth Cook? I couldn't do that...
Posted by: Jim Pipkin at July 9, 2007 10:34 AMI just can't delete. That's why the iMac has a 500GB hard drive, the collection is just wackier every day.
21,000 tracks and counting. Some are even rated.
Posted by: Bradley Price at July 9, 2007 2:24 PMI do understand the hoarder mentality. I began to long for the days when I could name that tune, album and artist in three notes. Lately I feel like more is less and less is more. The thinning will continue with 27169 songs/119.68 GB are on my harddrive I've got a long way to go to get back to a listening library. That translates to 2021 albums and I'm not sure this old house could hold that much vinyl without collapsing!
Posted by: Hal at July 10, 2007 8:10 PMI almost forgot to mention that I picked up all four volumes of "Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era" a few weeks ago............oops, I'm backsliding already.
