"Ten Singles" by Kurt Hagardorn

Fans of the similarly inspired Big Star, Golden Smog and the Jayhawks will, would, could, should dig this disc. Kurt varies the style on several tracks including the garage-band rock of "Last Time Rewind" which wouldn't be out of place on "Nuggets" and "Rock Paper Scissors" adds a nice dose of rock guitar and drums. Instant credibility factor: two tracks produced by Chris Stamey.
I first saw Kurt playing a mean telecaster at a few Thad Cockrell shows a few years ago. Damn those were some good shows!
