Aw, Dolly

Word comes today that Dolly Parton plans to release her first "mainstream country" album in 17 years next February.

I like to think she's going to go in there and make "mainstream country" not suck anymore, but I don't know. I love Dolly, but I don't know if even she can unfuck it at this point. Remember when Loretta Lynn, post-heyday but pre-Jack White, was releasing "mainstream country" albums? Yeechh.

Aw. Dolly. I was really hoping we here in Americanaland would get to hold on to her a little longer. Boo.
