Perhaps too old, folkie and intelligent to be a critic's darling, Peter Case's latest disc "Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John" ,a bluesy tuneful take on the underbelly and underclass of our society, is on my 2007 top 10 list and rising. The late great Townes Van Zandt once said "There are two kinds of songs: blues and zippity do dah." This is not zippity do dah.
