Hickory Wind's Fifth Birthday!
Posted by Larry Karnowski at October 28, 2007 6:45 PMToday Hickory Wind turns five years old!
Five long years ago I started a humble blog, and she has come a long way, baby! I'm so proud to have been able to do this -- make friends, promote our tradition of roots music, push it into the future, and just generally geek out about twangy music for the past five years! Viva la Hickory Wind!
In celebration, Carlton Swift has given us a new logo (which with any luck will show up on some t-shirts soon), and I've given the site a much needed minor face-lift. With some new technology deployed (RPM, Yum, and Capistrano FTW!), I should be able to make more updates more often. (Keeping my fingers crossed!)
I couldn't do any of this without the support of everyone here -- the authors, the readers, the friends and family. I love y'all so much! Thank you from the bottom of my blog-writing heart for making this a community that's so strong and so fun!
Keep it TWANGY!
Happy Birthday Hickory Wind! Its because of your little blog that our little blog exists (Twangville - goin' on 3 years). Keep on keepin' on, y'all!
