Keep this up, and maybe I won't mute TV ads anymore

You know, I haven't had much use for Old Navy ever since I went in a couple months ago looking for khaki pants ... and they had NO khaki pants! What? What? Khaki pants are the whole point of Old Navy! My god, people.

But dammit, lately I find myself with the song from their holiday TV commercials on non-stop repeat in my brain. I'd been meaning to try to find out what the song -- a beautiful, laid-back, sweet-sounding little ditty -- was, but ... eh. There are Christmas cards to write, and sleep to be gotten, and trashy magazines to be read. But a well-timed press release we received here at HW.org today did the work for me. That song? "Stars," by folkie duo The Weepies.

The Weepies also are getting some big pimpin' from JC Penney with a catchy, swingy, almost Sarah Harmer-esque holiday song called "All That I Want."

Both songs are on iTunes, and I highly recommend them. And if Old Navy ever stops with the ugly sweaters and gets back with the wardrobe basics, I might once again recommend them, too. Harrumph.

If it wasn't for Old Navy outlet, I couldn't afford clothes. People at work would say, "Hey, wasn't he wearing that same barrel yesterday?"
