I knew this would happen
Posted by Stacy Chandler at December 28, 2007 11:18 AMIt was going to happen sooner or later: In my top 10 list, I completely forgot to factor in one of my favorite albums of the year! I loaned out the CD a couple weeks ago, and out of sight, out of mind, I guess. Bad Stacy.
Anyway, another great CD of 2007 was "Nothing is OK" by The Everybodyfields. They're labelmates of the Avett Brothers, but it's a totally different sound. The Everybodyfields, a male-female duo, are for the most part quiet, but they're bursting with things to say. The instrumentation is understated, and the soaring harmonies feel like the most natural thing on earth. It's a great album for really listening -- so get to it.
