Around Raleigh

Posted by Stacy Chandler at January 20, 2008 12:26 AM

Yesterday I woke up, made a decent breakfast, and ran ultra-important errands before a predicted snowstorm (which turned out to be a bust) hit the Raleigh area. The errands? A dash to the liquor store because we were out of whiskey and then a trip to Schoolkids Records (Warning: The site automatically plays music, which is quickly becoming my most violently hated of pet peeves.) to browse and see whether the new Drive-by Truckers had, ahem, accidentally been put on the shelves a few days early.

On the drive home (with liquor, but no DBT), the husband and I saw four poor suckers standing in the rain getting their picture taken in front of the N.C. State campus.

"Ha ha, look at those four poor suckers," we laughed, because we're assholes.

And then, as we zoomed by, we made a realization, both at the same time:

"Holy crap! That was Chatham County Line!"

Let it not be said they don't suffer for their art. Poor suckers.
