The Grammys Do Suck
Posted by Hal Bogerd at February 12, 2008 7:00 PMA local weekly entertainment magazine, The Independent, does a yearly poll for the best bar, club, restaurant, etc. and McDonald's always wins the Grammy for "best fries". The Blues Foundation is scheduled to give out their awards (think hipper blues based Grammy) on May 8. The nominees are ............Hubert Sumlin.....Koko Taylor.....Kim Wilson.... Irma Thomas.....Otis Taylor.....Carey Bell.........James Cotton... Johnny Winter.......Muddy Waters (Historical Album of the Year)..... Son Seals............James Blood Ulmer.......Bettye LaVette ............................hey, Clapton? Where's Clapton? Why did they snub Clapton?!
