Bombadil -- Buzz, A Buzz (Ramseur)
We've been digging this band, labelmate of the Avett Brothers and the Everybodyfields.
Steve Earle -- Copperhead Road [reissue] (Geffen)
The 20th anniversary edition contains previously unreleased songs, some covers and a whole bunch of live recordings. You know the drill.
Steve Earle -- Live from Austin, TX (New West)
His 1986 performance has already been released, but now you can own the sounds (or sights, if you prefer the DVD) from Steve's 2000 performance on "Austin City Limits." I'm reminded of the voting for the Elvis stamps: Fat Elvis or skinny Elvis? You decide.
Newton Faulkner -- Hand Built by Robots (Columbia)
Robert Forster -- Evangelist (Yep Roc)
Griffin House -- Flying Upside Down (Nettwerk)

I know I've complained about this before but how many people who buy deluxe/anniversary/etc. editions of discs are new fans? Why not release the bonus material as a single disc so the true hardcore fans don't get stuck buying discs multiple times? I love Steve Earle but I keep think maybe my money should be spent on new/emerging artists instead of buying 20 year old reissues......but then again I'll probably rebuy (for the third time) the Replacements discs which are being reissued with bonus tracks!!
