Old and cranky........

Lou Reed recently railed about the sound quality of MP3 files. You know, maybe Lou has a point but shortly after reading his remarks I saw two girls on a bus sharing one iPOD and one set of earbuds. They were each listening, laughing and singing along to 1/2 of their MP3 encoded song and they couldn't have been happier. I (almost) felt like tapping them on the shoulder and telling them how much they were being cheated and that they really couldn't be enjoying their inferior sounding digital music that much. But I didn't.
