Careless Hearts - Heart's Delight
Posted by Larry Karnowski at September 14, 2008 4:56 PMOn October 15th, the Careless Hearts will release their sophomore album, Heart's Delight. If you liked their first album as much as me, then there's more to love on this one!
Their twangy rock sound ranges from early Whiskeytown like on "Starlings' Darlings," to the Grateful Dead like on my personal favorite, "I Like The Way Your Sun Shines," to straight-up honky-tonk rock like "Hell Of A Man."
You'll have to wait a few weeks for this one, but it's definitely worth the wait. I also recommend picking up their first, self-named album. You can pick it up from CDBaby or their website. (By the way, music aside, I think their first album may have my favorite all-time album cover. It's creepy cool. Check that CD Baby link for a glimpse.)
Also, way back in the day, we did a podcast featuring "Personal Picasso" from their first album. Ah, memories.
P.S. That Whiskeytown sound is no accident -- they were engineered (and I think co-produced, not sure?) by Chris "The Man" Stamey himself.
