Rattle and Ho Hum

I saw the new U2 disc in the BestBuy flyer Sunday and those boys have out Springsteened Springsteen with their special edition releases. They literally have five, count 'em FIVE, versions available of "No Line On The Horizon" ranging from $9.99 to $64.99!
I guess I shouldn't complain since I'll save anywhere from $9.99 to $64.99 on March3!

Comments

When a disc gets this much before it's released you know there is a good chance it's not going to be good.

I actually think it is the best record they've recorded since ACHTUNG BABY and I was prepared to dismiss it like I have their last two releases.

Thanks for your comment Vaughn. I wasn't commenting on the disc-I haven't heard it-but does U2 (or any artist) need to sell any version of their new release for $65?

I think the $9.99 is a BestBuy teaser promotion as they try to kill any remaining independent record stores.
