Duane Jarvis, 1957-2009

Some sad news this week from Americanaland. Duane Jarvis has died at age 51 after a battle with colon cancer. He wasn't a household name, but he was a shit-hot guitarist and wonderful songwriter who backed bigwigs like Lucinda Williams and Dwight Yoakam (and, fun fact, he was at some point in the Divinyls -- of "I Touch Myself" fame).

Rest in peace, Duane.
