Billy Bob Thornton
Posted by Hal Bogerd at April 9, 2009 6:59 PMI'm not sure I can find the words to describe this interview. Would he even have a recording contract if it wasn't for his Hollywood career? The Magic 8 Ball says "Not likely!" What's next? The typical ego-driven career flow chart is actor/director>singer (see Golden Throats)>poet/novelist>painter.
It got his name in the papers, didn't it?
Posted by: Jim Pipkin at April 10, 2009 2:38 PMWell, they dropped outta the tour due to the "flu".
Spine Flu, with verbal diarrhea?
Posted by: Jim Pipkin at April 11, 2009 4:26 PMHe should stick to acting. Really.
Posted by: Mathew at April 13, 2009 12:54 AMAgreed Matthew! All I can say is he isn't the first (and won't be the last) Hollywooder to assume their talent translates to other medium(s).
Posted by: Hal at April 13, 2009 8:20 PMWow. Just wow. Someone needs to stop smoking crack cocaine. You can just see the other band members thinking "oh geez, not again." Billy Bob must put up the money for all their stuff. That's the only reason they must keep him around.
Posted by: Matt at April 14, 2009 4:35 PMMusic is 90% politics. If you don't ken that, another line of work will be more suitable.
Posted by: Jim Pipkin at April 14, 2009 7:01 PMMy thought is he's got one hell of a fragile ego and doesn't want his acting career to overshadow his hobby (hobby=music) The guy can’t seem to get what he wants in a public forum, and he’s so frightened that listeners are putting down his music that he made this interview into a over blown event that quite frankly must have been awfully embarrasing to deal with once the press had their heyday with it.
