Dreams really do come true!

In answer to Americana lovers' fervent prayers, it seems the Jayhawks are reuniting with the "classic" lineup. I'm a little unclear on what that means, but I've heard at least the names Gary Louris, Mark Olson, and Karen Grotberg. No directly mention in articles I've read, but surely bassist Mark Perlman is in as well.

In other great news for Jayhawks fans, the anthology, "Songs from North Country," is out tomorrow. I got my clacking pincers on it early, thanks to a fantastic record store I encountered on vacation that has no qualm about selling albums before their release date, so I can say from experience that it's a must-buy. Spring for the deluxe version (mine was $30, though Amazon has it for $20) to get a DVD of videos and other gems. You won't be sorry.

UPDATE: I'm finding everything BUT tour dates and/or info on the particulars of this reunion (where touring, how permanent ...), but I did find the beginning of what will be a series of podcasts from Sony Legacy interviewing the band.
