Son Volt's Jay Farrar and Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard have come together for a pretty nifty project -- making passages from Jack Kerouac's novel "Big Sur" into songs. The album's out next week, but you can hear it now and read all about it here -- thanks to our super-hip friends at NPR.
